what’s in my makeup bag?

Although I’m too old for TikTok, and basically always use a filter on my stories, I get a ton of q’s about makeup. We’re going to feature whats in the makeup bags of each team member over the next few months, and I’m up first!
Working at Hudson’s Bay, I had access to some of the BEST beauty brands. Im talking Chanel, Becca, MAC- and although there’s definitely some products that are worth the hype, my everyday faves are all available at the drug store. Im all about easy, affordable, attainable items - you know the drill.
Ive got two foundations on this list - one with medium coverage (infallible) and one with a heavier coverage (fit me). Personally, I like a dewy, youthful finish - both are also available in a more matte finish, but don’t do that… its 2021! My lipsticks are both well known heroes. Fairest Nude is supposed to be the most universally flattering drug store nude. I use it as my all over colour, and then run “Pink for me” along the line where my lips meet. It’s a trick I learned on a photoshoot set, to bring dimension to your lips by creating a bit of an ombre with a slightly darker colour along that line. It works, no more questions.
Lumi Glotion….. I mean. The absolute must. I use it as a primer, as a highlighter and even all over on a lazy day. It manages to blur, to filter and glow up your face like any $70 primer can. GET IT NOW.

1. l’oreal telescopic mascara - black
This is the best cheap mascara period. It lengthens and defines.
2. maybelline brow ultra slim defining eyebrow pencil - deep brown
I use this to fill, after I’ve used wow brow gel.
3. vaseline lip therapy
This is what I use as chapstick. I find other irritate my lips, or are too flavoured.
4. maybelline colour sensational shaping lip liner - nude whisper
I use this to overline a little. WHOS GONNA KNOW
5. e.l.f. cosmetics wow brow gel - neutral brown
This stuff is the SHIITTTTT. Its got little fibres in it that cling to your brows and help define them a bit. Available in a few shades.
6. maybelline colour sensational lipstick - pink for me
This is the one I run along the inside line of my lip.
7. l’oreal colour riche lipstick - fairest nude
Allegedly the most flattering nude of all time. I use this as my all over colour and then add a darker lip colour along the inside.
8. e.l.f. cosmetics primer infused bronzer - forever sunkissed
This is use for some old school Kim K contouring, under my cheekbones ish, hairline, and along my jawline,
9. rimmel maxi blush - wild card
I alternate with blushes, but this has the perfect rosy glow without being clowny.
10. maybelline fit me matte + poreless foundation - classic ivory
For days when I need more coverage, am going to be on camera, or attending an event.
11. l’oreal true match lumi glotion - light glow
GOAT.
12. l’oreal infallible pro glow foundation - nude beige
This was recommended by a fave instagrammed (@courtgrow) and dayummmmm was she right. It’s got good coverage and a soft dewy finish. It takes a lot for me to okay a drug store foundation, but this one gets a 10/10 would recommend.
13. makeup eraser
Honestly. This is witchcraft. Theres no product…. its just a cloth. You get it wet and it removes your makeup better than anything i’ve ever used. I don’t understand it, I don’t care to.
